Polyester Drawn Texturised Yarn (DTY)

Drawn Texturized Yarn (DTY) Yarn drawn while twisting polyester POY. DTY yarns are mainly used for weaving and knitting fabrics in clothing, home textiles, seat covers, bags, and many other applications. DTY yarns can be semi-dull or bright or trilobal bright depending on the type of filament section.

The technical properties of DTY yarn can be shaped in various ways to make the yarn suitable for multiple uses. A variety of heating techniques can be used to create yarns set for specific applications. A 1-heater DTY is usually more wool and stretchy than a 2-heater DTY. Also, DTY yarns can be created with multiple combinations of interlacing points. It can be non-entangled (NIM) between 0 and 10 knots/meter or semi-entangled (SIM) or highly entangled (HIM) between 40 and 50 knots/meter. ) for 100 to 120 knots/meter. These knots are not actually knots that are tied when two threads are broken, but entanglement knots created by heat pressing. These interlaced yarns also called interlaced yarns, are an alternative to lightly twisted yarns. Polyester DTY yarns can also be twisted with higher twists such as 1500 TPM or 4000 TPM (twists per meter). Such twisted yarns can also be heat set to permanently heat set the yarn. Cationic DTY is another variation of polyester DTY used primarily in blankets. Cationic DTY is made from Catonic PET chips.

Polyester DTY yarn is also available in various colors by dope dyeing techniques or traditional dyeing. Solution-dyed DTY is usually packaged in paper spools, while the raw white DTY used for dyeing is loosely packed in perforated plastic tubes, and when the spool is dipped in paint, all yarn is easily dyed. DTY is mainly manufactured in China, India, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia in large quantities and exported all over the world.
